+complaints+

last week at a meeting, the big boss were talking at how singaporeans react to the news. "give them one week," he says, "they'll all get over it." true enough. look what's on the news headlines lately! the milk issue! last week it was all about the united states, this week, china! next week, probably europe! oh man singaporeans.. its really funny. he quoted some examples after that, about how one week is the longest something can go, besides the elections.

the weather's pretty bad lately. it was pouring about a month ago, and now, there's not even a drop of rain. its really killing me. with the same old activities, now we have to endure it in the hot sun! especially at nights, no wind! only hot air radiating from the cement floor from the day! im falling sick really. and i wonder how this is going to motivate me any further.

+get the facts right+

im always at this page, then im thinking, what should i write? aah crap, maybe i shouldnt write anything. and then this whole reason of why i started blogging came to my mind again. here i am again, trying to write something. i think i've lost my ability to whip out a beautiful crafted entry somehow; blame it on the lack of afternoon reading, or the lack of reading as a whole.

i guess all of you already know by now; the past week was turbulent. if you still dun know what has happened, please ask. dun be like an auntie and go queue up outside the customer service and listen to the auntie in the line trying to explain. obviously she has no clue at all. and you think that the authorities only want to cover their own pockets, then read what people say online, read the papers (though they can blow things up rather drastically), or talk to someone professional. okay enough of that issue.

there's another problem surrounding me lately. it wasnt my problem to begin with. but it became my problem because i was the brunt of all things. that makes me the problem now? wait, i wasnt the problem but i became the problem because someone thought i was. in a way, i was innocent. WAIT, I AM INNOCENT. i wasnt even in the picture in the first place but i was dragged in. and someone had the cheek to go badmouth me. btw, im quite irritated by this whole saga already, so please, give. me. a. break.

i just hope that the army doesnt recall me, but they have! so im going to try to do something really funny. =/

+first call up+

i should be blogging more often, but sometimes, im really too caught up with my life. then again, it might be a good thing, to be able to be so busy, that means im living my life to its fullest. sounds crappy but it kinda makes some silly sense.

had my first "reservist" manning today. wasnt that nice as i expected. though there wasnt much stuff to do, but putting on the green uniform again meant the liabilities we have, as singaporeans, is not over yet. the normal briefing as to what normal people go back for meetings would discuss, what to do if something happens etc. the new camp that i would be reporting to would be such a hellish ride. i guess i would be cabbing my way to camp should anything happens. its really inconvenient. should i have a car... that would really help.

and so reservist means meeting up with the same old people, some of them though, cause apparently my unit doesnt allow certain people, because of tactical reasons. many of them have changed, over the one year since we turn operationally ready. some still the same old self. i guess they say "old habits dont change", for a reason. it was quite a happy occasion overall for me, to be able to see them again, but the thought of having to go through life in the wild again sends chills to my spine. maybe im too used to having live my life as a person who needs my freedom, my own pace, my own life.

haven been really happy lately. maybe because there are certain things that i cannot put behind me, forever. i guess time heals all wounds, and i strongly feel that all of you should believe in that phrase as well. if it doesnt recover totally, at least the damage isnt that great as time goes by...

+weekend wrap+

i guess its not very fresh news by now, but danial is back from qatar! its been a quick three months. cause to the best of my memory i didnt earn much money in the past three months. relatively speaking, all of them are working hard for their lives out there, carving their own career paths. well well, how can i complain, i chose this path myself.

we caught the movie "forgetting sarah marshall", something on my list which i wanted to catch. kinda my type of show. got to know this show from a colleague. he's been ranting about it for weeks since the release in the US, so maybe thats why im quite interested to find out how nice it was. anyway, kristen bell and mila kunis are both attractive in their own ways. so, jason segel is one fcking lucky guy. he wrote the script, i guess he probably picked the actresses too. some corny lines, several really funny ones, and a few stupid acts makes the whole show enjoyable as a whole.

i have yet to cover the topics for tuesday's test. i think im going to struggle. but i have to pass! lets see how time is going to manipulate me this time..

+lunch is on me today+

the title speaks for itself. im late again. so the boss decided to punish me. *tada* empty my wallet. and everybody call me boss today. even the boss did. =/ i need to kick this bad habit away.

the rain poured again today. not the first time already, but it always comes at the wrong time. especially when i have an extra laptop to carry today. what a big bag! and i almost slipped. what a bad week so far...

+autumn thoughts...+

i totally forgot how it felt, to be able to walk freely on the streets, without any burdens. i miss the freedom, the happy, childish, carefree old days with the lots of people around you speaking the same tongue, and looking at the same things you never get tired of. i know, its me again, the same old guy reminiscing about the history. this is just the same old me.

i have just missed out on my district's bkk trip. ahh. not much of a pity since there wasnt much results on the scoreboard. but it was an improvement from the previous month. some of the colleagues are happily enjoying themselves in japan now, probably eating their tummies out, and eating local japanese delicacies. certainly i would love to be one of them, and the task of the industry is certainly making me take a big step from the old me.

currently jordin sparks' song 'one step at a time' is apt for me at the moment. the road to success cannot be done in a month or two. take one step at a time!
