+final feb update.+

updates would be what this post's gist is all about. caught three movies last week, jumper (mentioned two entries ago), sweeney todd, and L. sweeney todd is this gothic show that adds a slice of spice to it. watching depp's show always makes me feel so special, maybe he's just so, 'wierd'. L was kinda weak, in terms of storyline, maybe the first two shows (which i don't actually see any link with the deathnote) were pretty much getting us bound to the edge of our seats such that this one basically made us sit comfortably on our 'couches'.

it was pretty hectic at work, and most of the time, contemplating whether i should continue staying at the pathetic place cause of its distance, environment etc. the workers are a pretty carefree bunch, often cracking stupid old jokes over and over, speaking in different languages has actually make me learn more. more about managers, executives, supervisors and worker relationship. how operations work, how processes need to be improved in order for the entire company to move forward. however, it jsut seems that i cannot cope, with the upcoming projects. penning a resignation letter would be apt now, and the search for the next job begins.

the cage over the weekend. one in many months since i played soccer. two hours but it did make me pant and sweat quite abit. looking forward to more this weekend at roy's place! oh today's feb 29. the next leap year is four years away! look how cool that is. friends my age who are born on this day arent even six. =D

+L word+

i do not know if this is the appropriate time and feeling to write this post. this is my space and i shall not really bother. there has been a few friends made recently. friends i would call them, because they share common interests, which are good. we can talk, for a couple of hours, no problem.

the problem now is, they tend to me very nice to me, and it bonds a certain 'love'. this is where human beings, as homosapiens with emotions becomes very interesting. i do not know if this can be associated with the big L word. hopefully it does not. because i still want that piece of very interesting relationship with that person. too many thoughts on my mind lately. time to put them off, one by one. hopefully before i grow one year older. tomorrow is feb 29 how special!

okay enough of thinking. time for some real sleep.

+jumper+

the movie craze is back again, after the usual gang has finished with the hectic month in january with their exams and OT respectively. the latest show at the cinemas was 'Jumper' starring hayden christensen(starwars) and rachel bilson(the OC)! a love story entangled between a jumper and his childhood lover. the storyline didnt really create an impression in my mind compared to other movies by doug liman, who directed the bourne series. it was pretty lame to give it an m18 for just that bed scene which didnt last more than the time i took up my drink to sip and putting it back. it wasnt that great, but its still pretty action-packed. gotta give credit for filming at so many countries where he transported. i love the part where they go "where do you think you are going, jump, jump, jumping around.."

+dinner and dance+

half of the shortest month (its still the shortest if you add the additional day cause this year is a leap year) in 2008 has already gone by. vday was spent on watching a movie, juno! i love ellen page! we had troubles getting the tics from cineleisure, to the cathay and finally settling at PS. first row! OMG! strained necks, and quite a late show. nine to be exact. i love artsy fartsy movies. this one is categorised under indie by the way.

did i mention how everybody should not be spending feb 14 along orchard road? cause the only thing you see is couples holding something red or pink which resembles something like a rose or heart. it must have been a good day for people who sells them at sky-high hiked-up prices only crazy in love couples are willing to splurge. i have seen couples not celebrating their love on valentines, cause its just another day to make sure you love each other? i mean, if you really have love for one another, any day will. just like mother's day, father's day, teacher's day, thanksgiving etc.

the company dinner and dance '08 was held at sheraton towers. the theme was "viva las vegas" and everything was all about gambling. chips were given out to complement the theme: las vegas. it really got the workers excited cause all they wanted was gamble their livestock away. but it did bring the managers and workers' relationship closer. dinner was served. the game host started his night of entertaining us with his quirky yet witty jokes, sabo-ing bosses in the process. i did have fun, though i didnt win any lucky draw prizes. it was good interaction among the different departments, and also a chance to relax.

+valentine's.+

i probably dont have much female companions i categorise as valentines. they seem like stars in the sky, so freaking far away. but its always good, to think. i have been complaining too much, about how unfair god has been to me, not providing me with the pool of fishes to pick from. he heard me. and i got my retribution. he gave me a small pail and expect fishes to swim in.

i cant really ask much from him, since i didnt really believed he would help me, cause he has so many other prayers to answer. well, if he hears this, he'll probably send me an sms? i'd freak out if he really did. it would be a miracle if he sent me a nice job offer now. that would be what i really need. i shouldnt be always pointing my index finger around, blaming others for what probably could be my fault for not improving myself. i could probably call it being "myself", but that would just be another excuse i'll give myself, again.

anyway, i have been digressing again. i have thought, have been thinking, and is going to continue to contemplate about the other side of the pasture which im not allowed to set foot on. i am quite positive that if i keep knocking on heaven's door, god will, someday answer my plead. happy valentine's day people. and to all the singles out there, i will be on msn. we can start a hearty chat together.

+this is the first year+

this is the first year we ate out on reunion. this is the first year i handed out red packets to some elders cause i've started working. this is the first year i felt time during CNY really flies. this is the first year i didnt eat much CNY goodies. this is the first year i didnt lose much money. this is the first year nobody came to my house during CNY.

there are times when first times needed to be done. and this year, so many of them came about. this is also the first time i actually felt gambling was pretty boring. this is the first year i realisd the cousins have all grown up, tall and handsome. this is the first year i realised my cousin's sons and daughters are growing up as well.

new targets to be met. new plans to be made. this is the year i turn david beckham.

+happy lunar new year+

this is probably the time to blog. yet another boring entry, but this one has to be one that tells how CNY preparation has been. this year i've decided to be a good boy and return from the office after work to help out with the cleaning, making good use of my height to hang up some decorations, fixing the lightings etc. the colleagues at my office also used my height to their advantage last week! thats the only good thing im really proficient in i guess.

the office was quiet earlier today. half day work meant many were not even present. there was factory inspection to be done, while i just tagged along. its a rare chance to see everyone joking and laughing as friends, and the place with freshly coated colours. the environment didnt have that chemical smell like it used to. they were hanging CNY decorations around the place but no one's working on CNY, so who actually views them?

this year is also the first time that the family decided to give our steamboat/ teppanyaki machine looking thing a rest. we decided to eat out! save the hassles, the cleaning, the preparation. definitely quite a wise choice. but no steamboat means we missed out on lots of fun around the table, joking and slowly enjoying our food. like memories, they need to be left behind so that one day, we can look back and relive the moment. we are all growing up so fast; we never know how many more years we can all sit down and enjoy as a family.

+february updates.+

i have been relatively lazy. i have been doing things i should not be doing. i have been procrastinating. i have not been working. i will find the reason to work. i will find my motivation. i will exercise "now!" attitude. where is the passion? where is the determination? where is the motivation? =\

its barely one week from the chinese new year. most of the decorations have been up in chinatown, the neighbourhood, but nothing festival has been added. maybe the curtains changed a shade of two lighter from the cleaning, the parquet have been wiped with a new layer of cleaning liquid, and the walls have been touched up with a fresh coat of paint, but the lack of some red and golden colours seemed like its not really Chinese New Year yet.

its barely two weeks from valentine's day. this year is nothing special. just like the usual. this year, we can look forward to budget day one day after vdae. the sale of flowers must be heating up. i remember back in the days of school where flowers were seen around this period, guys would be saving up for this relatively shorter month, while the girls would be hoping to receive at least a stalk. the practice still carries on i guess, not in the offices i hope.
